Oracle and Microsoft licence review and consulting
Oracle and Microsoft licensing rules are complex and change often. We independently find out which licences you own and how you really use the software, check your compliance and show you where you can save – before the vendor's audit does.
- Ready for an audit – you know whether you have enough licences or too many, backed by evidence.
- Lower costs – savings on support (OPEX) and on future purchases (CAPEX).
- An independent view – we recommend the licensing model that pays off for you, not for the seller.

When a licence review pays off
- You want to cut costs on licences and their support.
- You plan a hardware change, server consolidation, virtualisation or a move to the cloud – with Oracle, a platform change can significantly change the number of licences you need.
- You are introducing new applications or integrating them with existing ones.
- You went through a merger, split or reorganisation and your licences come from different contracts.
- You have no licence management in place and don’t know whether you lack licences or have too many.
- A vendor has announced an audit, or you expect one.
How we help
- Licence inventory – contracts, orders and licence terms in one place.
- Analysis of installations and actual use of Oracle and Microsoft technologies.
- Compliance position – licences compared with use, and how to reach or keep compliance at minimum cost.
- Lower support costs (OPEX) and consolidation of licences and hardware.
- The optimal licensing model – e.g. Oracle SE2 instead of EE, core-based licensing on Oracle Database Appliance, the right Microsoft programme.
- Purchasing strategy – how to save on future investments.
- Preparing for a vendor audit and reducing its risks.
- Software asset management (SAM) – processes for regular checks of licences and compliance.

For small and medium-sized companies at a discounted fixed price, about 3 days of work.
- Comprehensive analysis – an in-depth comparison of actual use with licences, the exact compliance position, concrete savings and the most suitable licensing model.
- Licence management – regular licence checks, a purchasing strategy and long-term cost optimisation (SAM).
- Ongoing consulting – help with ending support, upgrades, migrations or buying new licences.
Frequently asked questions
Do you sell licences? Isn't your advice biased?
A licence review is an independent service: the goal is that you have exactly as many licences as you need. If the analysis shows you should buy licences, we can supply them as an Oracle and Microsoft partner, but the decision is always yours.
What if a vendor has already announced an audit?
Get in touch as soon as possible. We help you find out the real situation before data goes to the auditors, assess their findings and prepare for the negotiation.
How much does a review cost?
The initial presentation is free. The preliminary analysis for small and medium-sized companies has a discounted fixed price; for larger organisations we set the scope and price after the initial presentation.
Which products do you review?
Mainly Oracle (Database SE2 / EE including options, RAC, virtualisation and cloud) and Microsoft (servers, SQL Server, Microsoft 365 and licensing programmes). We can discuss other vendors at the initial presentation.
