Hotel Park Inn Prague
For the Park Inn Prague hotel (owned by Hermitage Holdings s.r.o.) we implemented a complete monitoring system for its critical servers. We built it on a virtualised server using a VMware appliance with Linux to keep costs down, which also met the requirement to have the system running within one day. The Nagios monitoring tool was installed manually in the latest stable version, including the configuration of three target servers. A follow-up project was a review of the Oracle database originally delivered with the MICROS-Fidelio OPERA Property Management System (PMS) and of its backup strategy, with optimisation recommendations.
